What Does It Mean to Be a HOPAW Family Member?

Becoming a member of House of Praise and Worship C.C. is more than adding your name to a list. It is a step into shared responsibility, spiritual growth, and purpose. Membership reflects a deeper commitment to the HOPAW community and a calling to steward our mission and vision together.

As a HOPAW FAMILY member, you are invited into both participation and accountability, including:

  • The right to a vote of affirmation of the Pastoral Team.

  • Grow into ministry leadership(or designated ministry participation) after two years of active membership, through spiritual discernment and preparation

  • A voice in the life, direction, and future of the church

  • A commitment to serve, grow, and walk alongside others in faith

Membership is a declaration that this is home and that you are choosing to stand with this community in worship, service, and leadership development.

If you feel called to move from attending to belonging, from receiving to building, and from agreement to action, membership is your next step.

BECOME A HOPAW FAMILY MEMBER
  • Becoming a member of HOPAW is a thoughtful and prayerful journey. After submitting the membership form, our leadership team reviews it and follows up with you to learn more about your story, your faith walk, and how God may be leading you within the church. Membership is about relationship, alignment, and shared commitment, not just completing a form.

  • The membership form is designed to be completed by each individual, not per household. It gathers basic personal information, your baptism status, areas of spiritual interest, and the ministries you feel drawn to. These questions help our leadership understand where you are in your faith journey and how to walk with you intentionally.

All information is used solely to support spiritual care, connection, and ministry placement within HOPAW.

  • Ministry involvement at HOPAW is guided by spiritual discernment, preparation, and accountability. While everyone is encouraged to serve, certain ministries and leadership roles require a season of active membership, growth, and pastoral covering. This ensures that those serving are spiritually grounded, aligned with the church’s values, and prepared to lead or minister with excellence and humility.

  • We believe that ministry flows from spiritual maturity and community alignment, not just talent or interest. A discernment process helps protect individuals, ministry teams, and the spiritual culture of the church. It allows space for growth, discipleship, and confirmation of calling, so that service is life-giving and God-honoring for everyone involved.
